Property Access & Emergency Entry

Knox Box Program

A Knox Box is a secure rapid-entry system that allows emergency responders to access a property quickly during an emergency without unnecessary damage to doors, gates, or other entry points.

What is a Knox Box?

A Knox Box is a locked box installed on the exterior of a building, gate, or approved access point. It holds keys, access cards, or other approved entry devices so authorized fire personnel can enter when needed during an emergency.

This helps reduce delays during emergency response and may help prevent forced-entry damage to the property.

Who should consider one?

  • Commercial buildings
  • Gated properties
  • Multi-family properties
  • Buildings with limited access points
  • Buildings with alarm or sprinkler systems

Why install one?

Faster access

Helps responders get inside quickly when time matters most.

Less property damage

May reduce the need to force doors, gates, or entry points.

Secure storage

Provides a controlled place for approved access devices.

Better response

Supports safer and more efficient emergency access.
